Manifesting Motivation: Part 3

Third time’s the charm.

Truly the greatest thing that has come out of these chapters of my life, Part 1 “Manifesting Motivation” and Part 2, “How I Taught Myself To Be Healthy”, was my online persona: TheAmyAffect. 

How is this important in maintaining my health but still living my life?  Well I’ll tell ya. 

The goal of The Amy Affect was to affect people in a positive way, however, it did more for me because it kept me accountable for my actions every day, and for that, I’ll forever be thankful.
As much as The Amy Affect helped me maintain my health, it wasn’t made for real life. 

I’ve used the quote “consistency is key” a lot in my writing, and it has definitely been reflected through Instagram. But now I’d like to change that motto to “Consciousness is Key”. 

I’ve reflected on my ‘perfect health streak’ and realized that it’s not about being perfect all the time, in fact, trying to be perfect all the time was becoming unhealthy for me.

I stand by everything I said in Part 2 to learn how to be healthy, but don’t let it take over your life. Again, to keep it short and sweet when in reality there was a long and bitter process, I have learned that my mental health is just as important as my physical health.

What I have learned (and I think this is the most important thing for maintaining my health while still living my life) is to be conscious of the decisions I am making. 

…And that brings us to my new project. 

For now, The Amy Affect will be used for my latest meals and recipes made this summer from my local produce share CSA box from Homegrown (CSA means Community Supported Agriculture) as I move more towards this message of consciousness.

This summer you’ll also see a transition to my new project: AIM. 

AIM returns to the reason why I started The Amy Affect in the first place: to affect people in a positive way. 

Eating healthy will always be a huge part of my content, so you’ll see familiar food posts, however, my message will be very different. 

Newer topics will include how I lift up my vibration everyday, thinking positive with affirmations and spreading positivity, overcoming depression, anxiety and an eating disorder, and a lot more of my spiritual side.

I’ve accepted that people may not like it, that it may not be as beautiful as my feed once was, but if I can help at least one person, then I will be more than happy. 

I have always had this dream of being a motivational speaker, and AIM is my step towards that. On top of inspiring healthy eating and exercise, I will now share ways to:

Aim for positivity. 

Aim to feel good and make others feel good too. 

Aim for the life you’ve always dreamed of living. 

And in these ways, maybe really affect the change I want to see in the world.
