It made perfect sense, of course, we needed a music section. Everyone loves music, all the editors have experience in various forms and styles of music. To top it all off, we have talented music contributors. So why the hell did we change the Music section to the Arts section?

The obvious answer is, music is art. There are many art forms that require music, and it felt silly drawing a line. Once we started including other art forms, the exploration of art as a whole experience naturally became our goal.

Having said that, we are starting our first month at Good Read Magazine with a lot of music. However, as we progress we'll be exploring art and culture in more variety and detail.

I was complaining to a friend the other day that I felt less inspired than I usually do. That outside of live events or functions I used to turn to social media and find amazing people doing brilliant things. He reminded me that outside of changing algorithms, the key ingredient to my social media feeds was me. That if I wanted to be inspired by my feeds, I had to curate an inspirational feed. And he was absolutely right.

To the above point, we're going to work to curate an inspiring Arts experience for our readers. Hopefully along the way we can introduce you to things you didn't know about before or discuss topics you're already passionate about.

Who knows? The Arts Section might change again. You better watch out Style Section, there is some artistry in your industry too.
